\nJoin the City of McDonough and community partners for Do Good Day on Saturday\, September 19\, 2026\, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for a community-wide day of service dedicated to making a lasting difference in the Blacksville community.
\n\nDo Good Day brings together volunteers from across Henry County&mdash\;including local churches\, businesses\, civic organizations\, families\, and individuals&mdash\;to serve side by side and show love to our neighbors. Volunteers will assist homeowners with beautification projects throughout the morning\, including exterior house painting and junk and debris removal. Together\, the community will work to paint more than 35 homes and help bring renewed hope and pride to the neighborhood.
\n\nNo special skills are required to participate&mdash\;just a willing heart and a desire to make a difference. Whether you volunteer as an individual\, family\, business\, church group\, or organization\, there is an opportunity for you to serve.
\n\nVolunteers should arrive by 8:00 a.m. for parking and transportation to their assigned project site. Parking will be available at Henry County Middle School and Henry County High School\, located side by side at 155&ndash\;175 Postmaster Drive in McDonough. Shuttle transportation will be provided from the parking area to project sites.
