Lemon\n\nDana L. Lemon is serving her fourth term as the first woman elected to the Transportation Board of Georgia. Prior to her election\, Dana served on several other boards including the Davidson College Alumni Association\, Odyssey Family Counseling Center and Henry County Chamber of Commerce. She is president of her family business\, W.D. Lemon & Sons Funeral Home\, and works alongside her five siblings. She has served in leadership with the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association and the Georgia Funeral Service Practitioners Association. A 2012 graduate of Leadership Atlanta\, she is a member of New Life Church in Decatur\, plays tennis and serves the community through Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She currently serves as a Clayton State University Trustee in Morrow\, GA and the Board of Visitors for Davidson College in Davidson\, NC. Her life of service was recognized in 2018 by the Georgia Senate and in 2012 by the Georgia House of Representatives where she received resolutions and commendations for her contributions to the State of Georgia and unselfish and dedicated public service. She was co-host of a local cable show\, Community Spotlight
