SHRM is pleased to introduce, Paula Humber, MBA, SHRM-SCP, Members and Community Director for the Southeast Region. With more than 20 years of experience across corporate, entrepreneurial, and consulting environments, Paula brings a wealth of knowledge in recruiting, employee relations, and training program development. She has also led as President and Senior HR Consultant of P&L Corporate Solutions, demonstrating her commitment to advancing strong, people-centered workplaces.
In her current role, Paula partners with SHRM state councils and local chapters to drive growth, sustainability, and meaningful member engagement. She is deeply involved in the HR community, having served as a SHRM chapter volunteer for several years and contributing to numerous professional and civic organizations.
Paula will lead a timely and impactful session titled “Empowering HR: Mental Health Strategies for the Modern Workplace.” In this interactive discussion, she will share practical tools and strategies to help HR professionals better understand the impact of mental health on performance and retention, recognize and respond to employee needs, and foster a culture where support and openness are the norm.
