We Hear You: Why the Chamber Board Backs T-SPLOST and FLOST
Your voice, our community: Why the Chamber Board endorses T-SPLOST and FLOST
We hear you. Whether you are running a family storefront off the McDonough Square, managing distribution off Highway 155, or balancing payroll in Stockbridge, the daily pressure is real. You are feeling the weight of rising property valuations and the constant friction of highway gridlock.
Too often, policy feels like something decided for you rather than with you. That is why the Henry County Chamber Board took a deliberate, community-first look at the ballot before voting to endorse both the T-SPLOST renewal and the Floating Local Option Sales Tax (FLOST).
You have the power to decide how our community grows.
● T-SPLOST 2 does not raise taxes. It renews our existing 1% dedicated transportation sales tax to keep infrastructure funding under local control.
● FLOST delivers direct property tax relief. Under Georgia law, every dollar collected from this sales tax must go directly toward rolling back local property taxes levied by Henry County and our four municipal partners.
This is your community, your business, and your future. Review the project outlines and discover how your vote shapes Henry County.
