YESCO Highlights Initiative Supporting Small Businesses

YESCO Sign and Lighting Atlanta and Pinnacle 33 Signage Solutions would like to share an exciting initiative that highlights our commitment to supporting the local community and fostering small business growth.

In the spirit of giving, we launched the Light the Way Giveaway—an annual campaign designed to gift a deserving small business, nonprofit, or organization a sign makeover. Our goal is to help them stand out, thrive, and brighten their future in 2025. Research shows that new or updated signage can increase revenue by up to 10%, and we believe this initiative can truly make a difference.

After reviewing submissions, we are proud to announce Our World School in Henry County as this year’s recipient.

Our World School is a private, nonprofit institution serving children in grades K–12 with special needs, including autism, cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, and other learning and medical disabilities. The school’s name, “Our World,” reflects a parent’s aspiration to help their autistic child integrate into a more inclusive and supportive community.

The school offers an exceptional combination of academics and practical life skills, equipping students for success in everyday life. Programs include:

  • Hands-on activities like laundry, vacuuming, and running a student-operated coffee shop on Fridays.
  • A spring pageant that raises awareness of the challenges and triumphs faced by special needs families.
  • Collaboration with local efforts to create inclusive spaces, such as a special needs park near Big Spring Park in McDonough.
Additionally, with therapists on-site, Our World School seamlessly integrates therapy into daily schoolwork, reducing the burden on parents while fostering a harmonious partnership between students, parents, teachers, and therapists.

Since its founding in 2016, the school has grown significantly and recently moved to a safer, more spacious building with better parking and reduced traffic—enhancing the experience for students and families alike.

We believe this story is an excellent example of Henry County’s vibrant and inclusive spirit. With their new sign, Our World School will gain greater visibility, enabling them to expand their impact and continue empowering children and families with special needs.

We would be honored to have the Chamber’s support in spreading the word about this initiative. Whether through sharing this story with your network or highlighting it in an upcoming newsletter, we’d love to partner with you to shine a light on this incredible school and its mission.
