Sutherland's Foodservice Adjusts Business Model to Support Community and Hospitality Industry
Sutherland's Foodservice was a partner in the Henry County Conventions & Visitors Bureau Help for Hospitality food drive. The company helped to established an online giving component to our food drive where individuals could donate without have to shop in the middle of a pandemic. The business also opened their company up to provide PPE and adjusted their business model to accommodate for the "new normal."
Sutherland’s Foodservice, Inc. began as a dream at 79 Trinity Avenue near the corner of Trinity Avenue and Washington Street. Original owner Andrew W. Sutherland started Sutherland’s Produce Company and delivered eggs, 10 cases at a time, by removing the backseat of his car or via pickup truck.
Sixty-five years later, Andrew’s dreams, principles, and integrity still shape and remain the cornerstone of Sutherland’s Foodservice, Inc., one of the best independent food distributors in the country.
