An Evening at University of Georgia Griffin Author Entertainment Series
An Iowa Boy’s Journey: The F-100 Years
Griffinʼs own Dick Morrow has written an engaging and fascinating two-part autobiography entitled “An Iowa Boy’s Journey.” In this special Author Series Veteranʼs Day event, Dick focuses on Part 2---The F-100 Years. Before Dick was both a Griffin and Spalding County Commissioner, Mayor of Griffin, Griffin businessman, and public servant serving on several community Boards, he had another life. This well-written and revealing memoir tells of a Missouri Air National Guard enlistee, a commissioned 2nd Lt. in the US Air Force, Pilot Training, an F-100 fighter pilot who flew the supersonic F-100 in combat tours in Vietnam, and a 30-year Delta Air Linesʼ pilot, retiring as a B-767 Captain. He received a B. S. in math from Washington University and resides with his lovely wife Carol in Griffin.
