An Evening at University of Georgia Griffin Author Entertainment Series
Zenith Man: Death, Love, and Redemption in a Georgia Courtroom
McCracken Poston, Jr. is a criminal defense attorney practicing in Georgia and Tennessee, former politician and part-time juvenile court judge. He gained national attention for several notable cases which were featured on CNN Presents, Dateline NBC, A&Eʼs American Justice and Forensic Files. He served as a state representative in the Georgia House of Representatives from 1989 to 1997. “Zenith Man: Death, Love, and Redemption in a Georgia Courtroom,” published in 2024, is Postonʼs account of his representation of Alvin Ridley in the 1999 murder trial (where Ridley was accused of imprisoning his wife for decades before killing her). It is a “real life” true crime story.
