McDonough Dad Advances in National Super Dad Contest — Hopes to Bring $25,000 Prize Home to Henry County

McDONOUGH, GA — Local father, author, and nonprofit founder Delonso Barnes is making waves in the national Your Super Dad contest, sponsored by Ace Hardware, competing for a $25,000 grand prize and an opportunity to appear in a national television commercial.

Barnes, a proud father of two sons, is the founder of Daddy Everyday, Inc., a Henry County-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering fathers, strengthening families, and building better communities.

Recognized as the 2025 Nonprofit of the Year by the Henry County Chamber of Commerce, Daddy Everyday provides fatherhood workshops, parenting resources, family engagement activities, and programs supporting fathers reconnecting with their children.

For Barnes, the contest represents more than a personal accomplishment.

"Being a Super Dad isn't about being perfect. It's about being present, intentional, and committed to your children every single day. My hope is that this opportunity inspires more fathers to recognize the incredible impact they have on their families."

Barnes hopes to use the potential $25,000 prize to help expand Daddy Everyday's community programs and move closer to establishing a dedicated space for fathers and families in Henry County.

The community can support Barnes by voting in the national contest.
