Special Education Teacher

Our World School, a private K12 school for special needs students in McDonough, has enough students on our waitlist for an Elementary (K-2) Grade Band classroom to be opened.  This will require a teacher and a paraprofessional to staff that classroom. 

We have a teacher and a paraprofessional in each classroom.  The maximum number of students in a classroom is 10, so a 5:1 student:teacher ratio.  Even though we are a private school, we DO have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for our scholars.  We follow the Henry Schools salary schedule up to 12 years for our teachers, and follow their school calendar.  Teachers are required to have a bachelor's degree and at least 6 credit hours of education classes.

Our World School is accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission (GAC), the Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA), and Cognia.
