Landscape Technician II
Under the guidance of the Landscape Foreman, the Landscape Technician uses hand tools, lightweight equipment, and skid steers to grade and prepare sites and to rejuvenate damaged landscapes impacted by water line repairs and other infrastructure projects. The position involves exposure to advanced grading techniques and equipment operation skills as well as the regular completion of various tasks such as grading terrain, installing sod and seed, repairing irrigation systems, and enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Grades terrain with lightweight equipment/skid steers and other equipment for sod and seed installation, with attention to precision and safety in operating machinery.
- Repairs outdoor spaces by installing sod, grass seed, shrubbery, flowers, and occasionally trees to restore landscapes to their original conditions.
- Distributes pine straw or mulch around new or restored areas.
- Conducts irrigation repairs as needed to ensure efficient flow and optimal system functionality.
- Cleans streets, driveways, and work areas, ensuring sites are presentable upon project completion.
- Installs silt fence to manage soil retention and minimize runoff.
- Communicates clearly and courteously with property owners and the public to maintain positive relationships.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Georgia Driver's License required. Flagging certification or ability to obtain within twelve (12) months.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
