Commissioners Honor Unity Grove Rosenwald School with Proclamation
HENRY COUNTY, GA — February 19, 2026—Unity Grove Rosenwald School, located in Locust Grove, is the only surviving Rosenwald School building in Henry County. The Board of Commissioners issued a proclamation honoring the school as a treasured historic landmark at the regular commission meeting Tuesday evening. Former students and community members, whose legacies are intertwined with the Unity Grove Rosenwald School, accepted the proclamation.The school officially opened for classes on November 2, 1931,

HCWA re-elects officers for 2026
The Henry County Water Authority (HCWA) six-member Board of Directors re-elected its slate of officers to serve in the same capacity for 2026.Those officers and members serving on the Authority Board this year include:Warren Holder, HCWA Chairman & District 1 Member (appointed by Henry County District 1 Commissioner Johnny Wilson)Myra Lott, HCWA Vice Chair and District 5 Member (appointed by Henry County District 5 Commissioner Kevin J. HCWA Extending Drive-thru and Call Center Hours to 6:00 p.m.
Beginning on March 2, and continuing thru May 29, the Henry County Water Authority (HCWA) Customer Service Department will be extending its drive-thru and phone hours to 6:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. This three-month period will provide the Authority with ample data to gauge whether customer interest for extended office hours warrants keeping this schedule throughout the year.The HCWA Customer Service Department is located on the first floor of the Authority’s Administrative Building at 1695 Highway 20
