Henning Elected to National ACCE Board of Directors
The Henry County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that President and CEO Joseph B. Henning, CAE, CCE, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE).

Headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, ACCE represents over 9,000 chamber professionals and 1,300 chambers of commerce nationwide. Board members serve as national leaders, helping guide industry best practices, economic development strategies, and community impact frameworks across the country.

This national appointment reflects Joe’s transformational leadership right here in Henry County. Since taking the helm in 2019, Joe has:
- Driven Unprecedented Growth: Expanded Chamber revenue, grew cash reserves, and surpassed $1 million in bed tax revenue for the first time in county history.
- Fostered Regional Innovation: Launched forward-looking workforce and entrepreneurial frameworks, including the Georgia FLEX high school entrepreneurship competition, the Thriving Henry Leaders executive leadership program, the Business Resource Center, and HenryHub.work.
- Earned Top Industry Honors: Led the Henry County Chamber to win the prestigious 2022 ACCE Chamber of the Year award, in addition to being named GACCE Executive of the Year (2025) and recognized as one of Georgia Trend’s 500 Most Influential Leaders.
