Commission Chair Carlotta Harrell Appointed Vice Chair of I-75 Central Corridor Coalition, Inc.

Henry County, GA – February 28, 2025 – Henry County Commission Chair Carlotta Harrell’s recent appointment to Vice-Chair of the I-75 Central Corridor Coalition, Inc. marks a significant step forward for Henry County’s involvement on the coalition’s board.

Established in 2018, the I-75 Central Corridor Coalition provides an alliance among the members, constituent communities and the public to plan and exchange ideas surrounding the growth, development and sustainability for the I-75 Central Corridor. Its members consist of local elected officials and community economic development partners across the following Georgia counties: Butts, Clayton, Henry, Houston, Lamar, Macon-Bibb, Monroe and Spalding.

Chair Harrell brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership in public service and community development. Her dedication to fostering economic growth and enhancing infrastructure aligns seamlessly with the coalition’s mission.

Through its smart growth approach, the coalition integrates using existing buildings and infrastructure with a fiscally responsible method to create affordable neighborhoods that are attractive for living and working. Its vision is to establish the I-75 Central Corridor as the most walkable and transit-served corridor in the south.

In the role of Vice-Chair, Harrell will focus on advancing strategic initiatives that promote regional collaboration, improve transportation networks and drive sustainable development along I-75. Her vision is to create a more connected and prosperous region, ensuring that the benefits of growth and development are shared by all communities.
