Henry County Parks & Recreation Establishes New Partnership with Creekside Christian Academy
Henry County, GA – February 5, 2025 – Henry County Parks & Recreation is partnering with Creekside Christian Academy to enhance the local private school’s athletic and STEAM programs.
The Henry County Board of Commissioners approved the partnership at their February 4 meeting.
Creekside Christian Academy, with campuses in McDonough and Hampton, offers a Christ-centered educational curriculum for elementary, middle and high school students. The school’s faculty members are dedicated to creating a nurturing and collaborative community.
"Our collaboration provides an opportunity for us to make a positive impact on the youth in the community," said Jonathon Penn, Henry County Executive Director of Leisure and Public Services. "We look forward to working closely with Janna Szeto, Director of Development, and her team at Creekside Christian Academy to deliver our athletic services and facilitate a robotics program for the students."
This partnership supports Henry County Parks and Recreation’s vision to foster impactful relationships with the community and expand access to its recreational facilities.
Furthermore, Creekside Christian Academy seeks to expand STEAM programming with more interactive and immersive learning as well as provide a more diverse offering of sports fields.
Commission Chair Carlotta Harrell expressed her gratitude for the new connection that Henry County Parks and Recreation has built and is looking forward to its development.
