Commissioners Honor Unity Grove Rosenwald School with Proclamation

HENRY COUNTY, GA — February 19, 2026—Unity Grove Rosenwald School, located in Locust Grove, is the only surviving Rosenwald School building in Henry County. The Board of Commissioners issued a proclamation honoring the school as a treasured historic landmark at the regular commission meeting Tuesday evening. Former students and community members, whose legacies are intertwined with the Unity Grove Rosenwald School, accepted the proclamation.The school officially opened for classes on November 2, 1931,
