Public Fishing Available at the HCWA Tussahaw and Upper Towaliga Reservoirs Fishing season runs from March thru November
(McDonough, GA – March 4, 2026) With Daylight Saving Time beginning Sunday (March 8) and the first day of Spring on the horizon, now is the time for Henry County anglers to enjoy public fishing on two select Henry County Water Authority (HCWA) reservoirs this year. The public fishing season at the HCWA is underway, as the Tussahaw and Lower Towaliga Reservoirs are open for business on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (during Daylight Saving Time), now thru the

The Henry County Water Authority (HCWA) six-member Board of Directors re-elected its slate of officers to serve in the same capacity for 2026.Those officers and members serving on the Authority Board this year include:Warren Holder, HCWA Chairman & District 1 Member (appointed by Henry County District 1 Commissioner Johnny Wilson)Myra Lott, HCWA Vice Chair and District 5 Member (appointed by Henry County District 5 Commissioner Kevin J. Lewis)Richard J. Sylvia, Jr., HCWA Secretary/Treasurer and District 2
HCWA Extending Drive-thru and Call Center Hours to 6:00 p.m.
Beginning on March 2, and continuing thru May 29, the Henry County Water Authority (HCWA) Customer Service Department will be extending its drive-thru and phone hours to 6:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. This three-month period will provide the Authority with ample data to gauge whether customer interest for extended office hours warrants keeping this schedule throughout the year.The HCWA Customer Service Department is located on the first floor of the Authority’s Administrative Building at 1695 Highway 20
