Building Tomorrow's Engineers: The Gordon State College Engineering Club
Engineering shapes the communities we live in, from the electricity that powers our homes to the infrastructure and technology keeping our communities moving. At Gordon State College in Barnsville, Georgia, students can begin their engineering education while developing the knowledge and skills needed to pursue careers in the field.
Gordon State College’s Associate of Science in Engineering provides a foundation in mathematics, science, and engineering coursework while preparing students to transfer to institutions such as Georgia Institute of Technology and other universities.
Complementing the academic program is the Gordon State College Engineering Club dedicated to collaboration, professional development, and community engagement. The club brings together students interested in engineering to explore technical topics, learn about career opportunities, and build connections beyond the classroom.
The club hopes to strengthen relationships with local businesses, engineering professionals, schools, and community organizations through STEM outreach, guest speakers, career panels, facility tours, mentorship, and other educational opportunities. By connecting education with industry and community involvement, Gordon State College’s engineering students and the Engineering Club aim to help prepare the next generation of engineers while strengthening the communities they call home.
Interested in partnering with us? The Gordon State College Engineering Club welcomes opportunities to connect with companies and community organizations interested in supporting STEM education, sharing professional expertise, and helping students explore future engineering careers.
