Henry County Chamber Launches The Henry HubSM: A New Ecosystem to Power the Local Solopreneur Economy

The Henry County Chamber of Commerce today announced the launch of The Henry Hub, a groundbreaking membership tier designed exclusively for the county’s fastest-growing economic sector: solopreneurs, freelancers, and independent contractors.

With estimates of more than 31,000 solopreneurs currently operating in Henry County, independent professionals have long faced a “Red Ocean” of generic networking events that offer sales pitches rather than support. The Henry Hub creates a new “Blue Ocean” strategy, moving beyond business card exchanges to provide a structured ecosystem of credibility, accountability, and revenue generation.

“You might be solo, but you don’t have to be alone,” explains Joseph Henning, president of the Henry County Chamber of Commerce. “Traditional business support systems often overlook the single-person business. The Henry Hub helps solopreneurs fight isolation, gain access to contracts, and build a ‘personal board of directors’ through our vetted mastermind groups.”

A New Model for the Gig Economy
For a monthly investment of $25, The Henry Hub offers a suite of tools designed to professionalize and scale independent businesses. Key features include:

  • The “Accredited Solopreneur” Badge: A verification system that provides freelancers with a digital badge for their marketing materials, instantly signaling credibility to potential clients and large employers.
  • The Gig Connector (Beta): A direct digital pipeline connecting Hub members with short-term contracts and freelance projects posted by larger Henry County businesses, positioning the Chamber as a source of revenue rather than just an expense.
  • The Core Collective: Small, curated mastermind groups of 6-8 non-competing peers who meet monthly to solve business challenges using a “Hot Seat” model, strictly prohibiting sales pitches.
  • Practical Resources: A digital “Solopreneur’s Toolkit” of templates and on-demand “Skills Showcase” workshops.
Co-Designed by the Community
“We are breaking the mold by asking our members to help build the product before we scale it,” adds Henning. “This ensures the Hub isn’t just another networking group, but a vital economic engine for Henry County.”

The Henry Hub Kickoff Meeting
Members and potential members are invited to attend an in-person kickoff meeting on Wednesday, January 7, at 9:00 a.m. at the Henry County Chamber of Commerce. Components of the membership tier will be reviewed, and attendees will meet their future “personal board of directors” in the development of this important ecosystem.
