Henry County to Celebrate Ribbon Cutting for New Affordable Senior Community
HENRY COUNTY, GA – August 20, 2025 – Local and state leaders will gather in Henry County to celebrate the ribbon cutting and grand opening of Kelleytown Senior, the county’s newest affordable senior community, on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. The ceremony will be held at 3420 Highway 155 N, McDonough.
The development was made possible through state and federal Housing Tax Credit programs along with a $723,000 loan from Henry County using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. Kelleytown Senior provides 64 affordable homes and eight market-rate homes for seniors. The project generated more than 116 local jobs during construction and features a three-story elevator-serviced building with on-site management. Amenities include a business center, community room, fitness center, courtyard and picnic area.
Henry County officials, the Henry County Chamber of Commerce and community partners including Kelleytown Senior GP, Paladin Inc., Georgia Communities Inc., Affordable Equity Partners, Fairway Management and Fairway Construction will be in attendance to mark the occasion.
