CASA of Henry County Celebrates 2026 Volunteer of the Year

CASA of Henry County is proud to celebrate Johanne Higdon as the FY2026 Volunteer of the Year, recognizing her outstanding dedication, compassion, and advocacy on behalf of children experiencing foster care.

Johanne Higdon was nominated for CASA GA Volunteer of the Year

Each year, CASA volunteers go above and beyond to support children and families navigating the child welfare system. The Volunteer of the Year recognition honors advocates who demonstrate exceptional commitment, build trusted relationships with children, and work tirelessly to ensure that each child’s voice is heard in court and throughout their journey toward safety and permanency.

Johanne’s commitment to the children she serves exemplifies the very best of CASA advocacy. Through her dedication, compassion, and consistent presence, she has made a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in Henry County. Her willingness to listen, advocate, collaborate, and speak up for the needs of children reflects the heart of what it means to be a CASA volunteer.
